Amanda Elsbury, Author

Feeling overwhelmed after the sudden death of her father, Amanda sought an outlet to help process her complicated grief. Poetry became a safe retreat for an otherwise ponderous journey. These pages are essential for all who seek vulnerable grief literature. Within this book of free-verse and rhyme blended poems, accompanied by brief stories of others' heartache and thoughts on coping, readers will find an honest portrayal of accepting (and sometimes fighting) a reality we all must face: Death, sorrow, and loss.

WOW! The words in this book touched a deep spot in my heart. There is something very mystical about this work and connecting one's self with those that are no longer on earth…or are they??? I am grateful for the work and effort Amanda put into sharing this journey with the world. I think getting to read this is a gift. I am awakened again and reminded of those that were put in my life for a special purpose.

With recent advances in the field of neurobiology, we are now well aware of the interaction between true emotional healing and brain plasticity (the brain restructuring itself). In addition, there is clear and compelling evidence that the healing brain requires an individual to be in a conscious state of self-awareness. Throughout this book, Amanda Elsbury intuitively guides the reader to this level of awareness. There is no more powerful state of being than to “stop, notice, feel”… “to cherish and pause.” To embody these words is to know divine wisdom."
